I use mine for both tempo runs and speedwork on concrete/asphalt, and for long slow runs of up to 15-20 miles. Even though this shoe is only 1-2 ounces lighter than your typical trainer (e.g. my Brooks Infiniti) it FEELS lighter and faster, somehow. Probably due to the cushioning being softer, and the sprung toe (curving upwards). The heel also seems to be slightly lower than in traditional trainers.br /br /It’s not quite as light as the new Brooks Launch which will be my next shoe, but a good in-between shoe. br /br /I’m not crazy about the red and gold trim on this model but oh well. The important thing is that it’s quite comfortable; I ordered a 1/2 size larger than usual on the advice of several websites.
