The new ASICS GEL-TRAIL SENSOR 5 Running Shoes are ASICS top of the range trail running shoes. They feature a host of technologies specifically designed for off-road running allowing you to tackle the toughest of trail routes with ease. This shoe now has a a full length Trail Sensor System that enables parts of the midsole to decouple for optimal traction on uneven terrain, meaning you are less likely to suffer injuries in places such as your ankles. Impact Guidance System (I.G.S.) – ASICS Design Philosophy. Employs linked componentry that enhances natural gait from heel strike to toe-off. Rearfoot and Forefoot GEL Cushioning – Attenuates shock during impact and toe-off phases and allows movement in multiple planes as the foot transitions through the gait cycle. Comfordry Sockliner – Provides cushioning performance and anti-microbial properties for a cooler drier healthier environment. Solyte Midsole Material – A lighter weight midsole compound than ASICS standard EVA and SpEVA. Also features enhanced cushioning and durability.
